The 68th edition of the Telecel Asantehene Open Golf Championship was officially launched on June 13, 2025, at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Sir Sam Jonah, a renowned Ghanaian business executive; Kwesi Atta Antwi, Chairman of the Royal Golf Club; and Patricia Obo-Nai, CEO of Telecel Ghana. Members of the Royal Golf Club were also present, underscoring the significance of the event.
