Yesterday, September 4, 2025, tertiary students from the Ahafo Ano South West District took part in interviews for the local tertiary scholarship scheme under the Ghana Scholarship Secretariat.
The exercise, which was supervised by the District Assembly, forms part of the government’s efforts to support brilliant but needy students to further their education. The interview panel engaged the applicants to assess their eligibility, academic performance, and financial needs.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Abubakar Sedik expressed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring fairness and transparency in the selection process. He encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and make good use of the opportunity if granted.
The scholarship intervention is expected to reduce the financial burden on parents and promote higher education among youth in the district.
