Two Presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will quit the party if the Vice President, Dr Mahammadu Bawumiah wins to lead the party in 2024 presidential election.
The Second Vice Chairman for Suame Constituency of the party, Mr Richard Asante, who made such predictions indicated that such candidates will reject the results for lack of transparency.
Mr Asante who was speaking to the media, disclosed that Hon Kwadwo Alan Kyeremanteng and Hon Kennedy Adjapong, due to their anxiousness and determination to win the race, will quit the party if Dr Bawumiah is declared winner.
According to him, the party needs to have another meeting with all the aspirants and discuss the need to support any candidate who will be victorious in the election.
The candidates, according to the Vice Chairman, should be permitted to sign a legally binding agreement to prevent them from taking such decision after losing the race.
