Newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Nsuta Kwamang Beposo, Victor Osei-Poku, has pledged to unite party members and strengthen the party’s grassroots structures to position the constituency for victory in the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Osei-Poku secured a landslide victory in the constituency executive elections after polling 739 votes, defeating his closest challenger who garnered 217 votes.
Addressing party delegates and supporters after his victory, the Chairman-elect described his election as a victory for the entire NPP family and assured members that his administration would be guided by unity, inclusiveness, humility and accountability.
According to him, the internal contest is over and it is now time for reconciliation and teamwork to rebuild a formidable constituency capable of reclaiming electoral success in 2028.
“I will lead a united and inclusive party where every member will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the NPP,” he stated.
Mr. Osei-Poku appealed to all party faithful, including polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives, patrons and supporters, to put aside their differences and work together for the common objective of strengthening the party.
He also expressed gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and commended the Electoral Commission, the party’s Election Committee, security agencies and all stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.
Beyond party reorganisation, the new chairman pledged to champion the developmental needs of the constituency by engaging relevant authorities and advocating for the completion of stalled government projects.
He specifically mentioned the completion of the Agenda 111 Hospital, improvement of road infrastructure and the execution of other priority projects aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.
Mr. Osei-Poku stressed that development should not be sacrificed because of politics, promising to use every legitimate platform to ensure that the people of Nsuta Kwamang Beposo receive their fair share of national development.
His election forms part of the NPP’s ongoing nationwide restructuring exercise aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots machinery ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Party supporters have expressed confidence that his leadership will promote unity, boost grassroots mobilisation and enhance the party’s electoral prospects within the constituency.
