The Secretary for Suame Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Pius Acheampong, has called on delegates in the Constituency to vote against the Suame Municipal Chief Executive in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
According to him, the MCE, Hon Maxwell Ofosu Boakye, has performed abysmally since he assumed office in 2021 hence any attempt to elect him the Member of Parliament (MP), will be a disgrace for the Constituency.
Hon Acheampong was speaking to the media in Kumasi after submitting his nomination form to the Constituency to contest the parliamentary election.
He disclosed that all projects in the municipality were initiated by the Former MCE, Prof John Osei Bobie-Boahin.
He disclosed that the two other candidates, Mr John Darko and Mr Kwabena Osei-Adubofour, have never served the party in any capacity, hence the discerning delegates will do the needful.
‘I have been the Constituency Secretary for almost 12 years now. Ask the other candidates what they have done for the party. Nobody has even worked as a polling station executive before’ Hon Acheampong asserted.
According to him, delegates need to reward him with their votes due to the services he has rendered to the Constituency.
‘I am the only grassroot candidate contesting for the parliamentary seat, who has tiresslessly worked for the party’ Hon Acheampong said.
According to him, the delegates have reposed confidence in him, therefore, he will win the seat to replace Hon Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu.
Hon Acheampong, therefore advised consider him as a grassroot candidate who bring transparency into all the affairs of the party in the Constituency.
