The Founder and Leader of United Front Party,Dr.Nana Agyenim Boateng, aka Gyataba has said that Ghana needs more of Sophia Akufos to make the Country work again.
According to him, Madam Sophia Akufo never considered her appointment by President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo as former Chief Justice but rather took a bold decision by joining colleague pensioner bondholders to picket at the finance ministry to register their displeasure against the government.
“Madam Sophia Akufo has really shown that she’s a living legend and must be celebrated as a true state woman.”Dr.Nana Agyenim Boateng told Broadcastergh.com this afternoon.
“The move by the former Chief Justice is an indication that she doesn’t pay attention to corruption , bribery and thievery.”He added.
Dr.Nana Agyenim Boateng hinted that ,it is about time the aged and the youth need to rise up and fight against what’s not right in the Country.
Some decisions by this Akufo Addo government are useless and we need more of Sophia Akufos to speak against it.
Madam Sophia Akufo will forever be reminded for this good initiative and her bold and firm decision to fight for the vulnerable in the society.

The former Chief Justice of Ghana, Sophia Akuffo, joined the retirees picketing at the Ministry of Finance in Accra over the governments domestic debt exchange programme.
The pensioners are demanding a total exemption of their investments from the domestic debt exchange programme.
The government has proposed a 15% coupon rate but the group of about 50 retirees singing patriotic Ghanaian songs told Citi News that they will not accept any haircuts on their investments as their livelihoods depend on the proceeds from these investments.
