The Western Regional Police Command has taken decisive action against illegal mining activities in the region, conducting an intelligence-led operation at multiple sites in Wassa Amanten.
As a result of the operation, twenty-seven (27) individuals have been arrested and are currently assisting the police with their investigations.

– *Several water pumping machines*
– *One (1) changfan machine was torched at the scene*
