Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, an aspirant for the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed confidence in his prospects of leading the party in the region, saying the time for his emergence would be determined by God.

He said he remained optimistic about the future of the NPP in the Ashanti Region and believed that, under a united and purposeful leadership, the party could regain power in the 2028 general election.

“When the time is right, the Lord will make it happen,” Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah said, signalling his confidence that his political ambitions would materialise at the appropriate time.

According to him, his decision to present himself for the regional chairmanship was driven by his desire to contribute to the rebuilding, strengthening and repositioning of the NPP in the region.

He is expected to focus his campaign on party unity, grassroots mobilisation and the strengthening of the structures of the party at the constituency and polling-station levels.

Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah believes the Ashanti Region remains strategically important to the NPP’s fortunes and that the party must consolidate its traditional support base while working to win back voters who may have become disenchanted with it.

He said a strong and united regional party structure would be crucial to the NPP’s preparations for the 2028 elections.

He therefore called for unity among party members and supporters, stressing that internal differences must not be allowed to undermine the collective objective of returning the NPP to government.

He also urged party activists to remain committed to the ideals of the party and work together towards strengthening its presence across the region.
His emergence as an aspirant adds to the developing contest for the leadership of the NPP in the Ashanti Region, where the regional chairmanship is expected to attract considerable attention as the party begins preparations for its next electoral cycle.
Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah has consequently presented himself as a candidate capable of providing the leadership, mobilisation and direction required to prepare the party for the 2028 general election.
He maintained that the NPP could overcome its current challenges if its members remained united and focused on the larger objective of winning back political power.

For him, the task ahead is not only about securing an electoral victory but also rebuilding confidence among the rank and file and creating a stronger organisational structure capable of delivering victory at the polling stations.
He expressed the belief that with effective leadership and renewed commitment from the grassroots, the NPP could once again secure a strong mandate from Ghanaians in 2028.

The aspirant’s message, therefore, centres on faith, patience and political preparation as he seeks to convince delegates and party members that he is the right person to lead the Ashanti Regional branch of the NPP into the next electoral battle.

As the regional chairmanship contest gathers momentum, all eyes will be on the aspirants and their respective visions for the party.
For Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, however, the ultimate outcome remains in God’s hands.
“When the time is right, the Lord will make it happen.”

And with that conviction, he is presenting himself to the NPP faithful as the next Ashanti Regional Chairman, with the broader ambition of helping the party reclaim power in 2028.
