YOUNG CODERS GRADUATE FROM CYBERSECURITY TRAINING PROGRAM IN ASHANTI REGION

A group of young coders has graduated from a week-long cybersecurity training program organized by Slamm Technologies in collaboration with the National Youth Authority at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC).

The event was attended by Hon. Isham Alhassan Yaw Bonsu, Presidential Staffer in charge of Government Activities in the Ashanti Region, who represented the Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene.

During the ceremony, Hon. Isham Yaw Bonsu presented certificates of graduation to outstanding participants and emphasized the importance of acquiring skills in cybersecurity.

He urged the graduates to continuously develop their skills and utilize them to contribute to the nation’s efforts in ensuring a safe and secure cyber environment.

The training program is part of a broader initiative aimed at building the capacities of one million youth across the country in cybersecurity. This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of creating a digital workforce ready for the opportunities of the AI-driven economy.

Hon. Isham Yaw Bonsu congratulated the graduates on their achievement and expressed confidence that they will make a significant impact in shaping Ghana’s cybersecurity future. The event highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity in Ghana and the need for skilled professionals to protect the country’s digital infrastructure.

The cybersecurity training program was designed to equip young people with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the field of cybersecurity.

The program covered various aspects of cybersecurity, including threat detection, incident response, and risk management.

“I urge the graduates to continuously develop their skills and utilize them to contribute to the nation’s efforts in ensuring a safe and secure cyber environment,” said Hon. Isham Yaw Bonsu.

Ghana has been actively working to strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities, with the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) playing a key role in promoting cybersecurity awareness and education across the country. The CSA has been partnering with various organizations and stakeholders to build the capacity of cybersecurity professionals and enhance the country’s digital resilience.
