GDCL hosts national dialogue on youth entrepreneurship

The Ghana Digital Centres Limited(GDCL) hosted Asempa FM’s Ekosiiisen National Dialogue Series on Youth Entrepreneurship the Catalyst to National Development at the Accra Digital Centre on Friday 14th October, 2022.
The event was chaired by Dr. Daniel McKorley, Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the McDan Group of Companies.
Also present were CEOs of GDCL, NEIP and MASLOC as well as the Deputy Minister for Finance, Honourable John Kumah and the Deputy Minister for Trade & Industry Honourable Michael Okyere Baafi.
GDCL CHIEF EXECUTIVE:
Speaking at the event, CEO of GDCL, Honourable Kwadwo Baah Agyemang stated that GDCL has partnered the Telecel group and Start Up Boot Camp Africa to host the SBC FastTrack 2022 at the Accra Digital Centre on the 27th October 2022.
He added that the SBC FastTracks 2022 will provide a platform for early stage Startups to pitch to investors and get feedback from industry experts to be chosen for the ASIP Accelerator, which offers €15,000 in cash and €500,000 in partner deals from top providers like AWS, Google, & Hubspot.
He also indicated that GDCL is collaborating with Terra AI a Singapore based company on the Virtual Digital Entrepreneurship Boot camp aimed at equipping the youth with skills to build AI powered digital solutions for local businesses.
Honourable Kwadwo Baah Agyemang entreated the youth to visit www.gdcl.gov.gh to register for the GDCL’s numerous  digital programs.
OTHERS SPEAKERS:
Addressing participants, Deputy Finance Minister,  Dr John Kumah asked the youth who have skills in the area of Internet technology to take full advantage of the opportunities GDCL was creating for them.
He said many youth across the world who have used the potential in IT have built a future for themselves.
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, CEO for National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme commended Asempa FM for the initiative to get CEOs to dialogue with the youth.
This series, he noted would bring to the fore the activities done at various agencies and state departments so that the youth could make use of opportunities to lie there to get permanent employment.
