Kwadwo Baah Agyemang Resources NPP IT Department with Laptops

Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang,  Chief Executive Officer for the Ghana  Digital Centers Limited (GDCL) on Monday presented brand new Hewlett Packard (HP) laptop computers to the Information and Technology Department of the Ashanti Regional Branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The gesture by the CEO, who is also a former NPP Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North is to enable the Department function effectively in their work.

Speaking to this reporter, Hon Agyemang said upon a request from the IT Department he decided to assist with the laptops.

“In this technology age every single thing is done by research and data if you want to get it right and so since the work of the IT department is basically to do research and to provide data to the party I decided to personally support them with these laptops to enhance their work and to enable the officers to deliver on their mandates”, Hon Agyemang stated.

Vision:
The CEO noted that his vision is to use his position to drive development in the country through the use of hands on technology, basically digital skills training.

He noted that the youth of the country have so much potential to do well in their fields of endeavour but would need skills development.

The GDCL, the CEO noted is planning to set up in some of the regions and eventually in the whole country so that it can ensure talents are unearthed and polished for development.

“Ghana 🇬🇭  abounds in talents in technology usage and my outfit has been set up to identify such and provide support and training for them so they can be useful to the society in this modern world of digital transformation “, the CEO intimated.

Appreciation:
Receiving the laptops, the IT officer for Ashanti region NPP, Kofi Boahene thanked the CEO for the gesture.

He noted that the items would enable them to work and perform at optimum levels and help them operate digitally as well as efficiently.

The officer said the Department was daily engaged in research and collation of data to provide the party with adequate and appropriate information to enhance its strategy and operations.

“We are grateful to the man we affectionately call KBA and we know this gesture would enable us to perform and deliver on the mandate entrusted to us and we also pray others learn from the CEO to provide similar support to other departments and wings of the NPP”, the IT officer stated.
