The Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA) has announced the official producer prices for Oil Palm Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFBs) and Raw Rubber Cup-Lumps for August 2026, in line with its mandate to regulate pricing and promote fairness within Ghana’s tree crops sector.

The Authority, led by Dr Andy O. Okrah fixed the producer price of Oil Palm Fresh Fruit Bunches at GH¢1,699.70 per tonne, while Raw Rubber Cup-Lumps will be purchased at GH¢8.9956 per kilogram throughout the month of August.

The monthly price announcement forms part of the Authority’s efforts to ensure transparency in the marketing of regulated tree crops while protecting the interests of both farmers and industry players.

According to the TCDA, the oil palm price was determined using internationally accepted market indicators, including the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price of US$1,069.20 per tonne, Crude Palm Kernel Oil (CPKO) price of US$2,149.47 per tonne, and the Bank of Ghana exchange rate of GH¢11.44783 to US$1.

The Authority explained that the calculations were based on market data collected between June 26 and July 25, 2026, ensuring that prevailing international market conditions are reflected in the prices offered to producers.

Similarly, the producer price for Raw Rubber Cup-Lumps was derived from the average Singapore Commodity Exchange (SICOM) TSR 20 rubber price of US$2.1512 per kilogram, using the same Bank of Ghana exchange rate and reference period.

The TCDA noted that the monthly price review mechanism is intended to provide a fair pricing system that responds to fluctuations in global commodity markets while safeguarding the livelihoods of farmers.

Industry observers believe the latest prices will offer producers greater certainty in marketing their produce and encourage sustained investment in Ghana’s growing oil palm and natural rubber industries.

The Authority urged licensed buying companies, processors and other value chain actors to comply fully with the announced prices to ensure fairness and stability within the sector.

The TCDA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable development of Ghana’s tree crops industry through transparent regulation, market coordination and policies that improve productivity, enhance farmer incomes and attract investment into the sector.

Stakeholders requiring further information on the announced prices and other regulatory matters have been encouraged to contact the Authority through its official communication channels or visit its website for updates.

The monthly producer price announcement is expected to strengthen confidence among farmers and investors while supporting the long-term growth and competitiveness of Ghana’s oil palm and rubber industries.
