The Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary of NDC Mathew kojo Njourkone has advised Chairman Wontumi to stop spewing ignorance to the public since he can never ban H.E John Dramani Mahama from coming to Kumasi.
He noted that no body has appointed Wontumi “Manhyia PRO” and he must also know that he can’t
decide for our revered Manhyia.
“Wuntumi speaks as if he is protecting Manhyia but ends up denegrading our revered Royal Family. He must be watched carefully”.He suggested
“If you say to the public what you should not say, it is not courage but rather ignorance.” He emphasized.
Mr Njourkone explained that either constitutionally or traditionally Wontumi does not have the locus to ban anyone from coming to Kumasi and warned that the empty threats of Wontumi must stop, otherwise he will be met squarely.
The Deputy Secretary said it is ridiculous for Wontumi to say he has banned H.E Mahama from coming to Kumasi when he knows he has no capacity to do so.
He continued that, the verbocity of Wontumi has exposed his ignorance and leaves people to wonder whether Wontumi is semi literate. He asked.
Mr Njourkone said its funny Wontumi deludes himself always that he has banned Mahama from coming to Kumasi, when H.E Mahama always come to Kumasi to perform his functions without any hindrance.
He warned that though the NDC Party is peaceful and focused on winning power to save Ghana from retrogression, Wontumi can never take the party for a ride in the Region.
“Sometimes we are silent because we feel Wontumi doesn’t merit our precious time” He hinted.
He appealed to the public to beware of the tactics of Wontumi to divert attention and public discourse from burning issues such as corruption and other failures of the NPP government.
He appealed to the media to desist from hypering the baseless tantrums of Wontumi and to direct the attention of the public to developmental issues.
“Wontumi is increasingly becoming worried because the NPP has lost grip of the Ashanti Region. Any of his deceptions now will not work”. He concluded.
