Mr E. K Agyeman, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of E. K Agyeman Mining Company has received Gold Award as one of the most outstanding Business owners in the Ashanti region.
Mr. Agyeman received the Award at the joint 20th Ashanti Business and Financial Excellence Awards and the 9th Business Leaders Excellence Awards ceremony organized by Top Brass with the auspices of the Manhyia Palace last Friday at the Lancaster Kumasi City Hotel.
Nana Tuahyia Oduro Panin Birikorang I, New Edubiasehene, who represented the Asantehene at the ceremony explained that, the Ashanti Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards Schemes were instituted in the year 2004 while the Ashanti Business Leaders Excellence Awards Scheme was established in 2015.
According him, the common rationale for the institution of the three Awards Schemes is to demonstrate the Asantehene’s appreciation of the enormous contributions of the Business community and the financial services fraternity to the economic development of Ashanti and the nation at large.
He commended the Award Winners, says they deserve a part on the shoulder for their performance in a particularly difficult global economic environment, and wish them even more impressive performance in the years ahead.
Nana Tuahyia Oduro acknowledged the time and efforts put in by the Chairman and Members of the Award winners Selection Committee as we as the organizers, Top Brass Ghana, in the successful implementation of the three Awards Schemes.
Nana Yaw Owusu Brempong, the Special Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who received the Award on behalf of the Mining Company expressed profound gratitude to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Manhyia Palace for the recognition and honour done him.
He disclose that, the company would not relent on the efforts to work more harder to complement the efforts of the government and other stakeholders in the Ashanti region to drive the developmental agenda towards reducing unemployment especially among the youth.
He is is optimistic that, the Award would serve as motivation to expand to company in partnering the business community to make the environment conducive for the young graduates and other vibrant youth to get job opportunities.
