Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has shared a powerful message after watching Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin’s iconic film on Burkina Faso’s revolutionary leader, Ibrahim Traoré.

Dr. Amoakohene described the experience as transformative, stating, “Yesterday, the Africa in me was reborn”.

He emphasized that the film is more than entertainment; it’s a reminder that African unity is priceless and urgent.

“Africa must unite, and this is not a distant dream, but an urgent call, essential for our collective survival and progress as a people,” Dr. Amoakohene stressed .

Calling for collective action, he urged Africans to rise together, highlighting that “the future of Africa depends on the choices we make today”.

This message echoes the pan-African themes and anti-imperialist resistance embodied by Captain Ibrahim Traoré, who has become a symbol of hope for many Africans .

The film, produced by Ghanaian actor and producer Lilwin, has sparked critical discussions about African leadership and sovereignty. Dr. Amoakohene’s response underscores the impact of Traoré’s vision, which mirrors the legacy of Thomas Sankara, another iconic African leader.
