Mr.Albert Kusi Boamah, Chairman of All Drivers Union,Sofoline Bus Terminal, in the Kwadaso Municipality in the Ashanti region has called on the Ghana Police to ensure that laws governing Commercial Drivers in the country are enforced.
He said, laws must be enforced on the commercial drivers who operate without having licenses and belonging to any transport Union Organization.
In press engagement Mr. Albert Kusi Boamah together with other drivers Union Organization at Sofoline Super branch have officially written on their expressed instructions to the Ghana Police Service to ensure that the laws are enforced.
According to him, their regulations stipulate that , none can operate as a commercial driver without being a member of a Transport Union Organization.
He revealed that, commercial drivers without license and are not bind by any Union organizations are the very people who breach rules and regulations governing driving.
“In order for us to have accident free on our roads, regulations governing driving must be re-enforced by the Ghana Police.”He noted.
