AA2E Program: A Catalyst for Agricultural Transformation and Community Empowerment in Nkwanta North District

Nkwanta North District lead by Hon Alhassan Abubakar the Priciding member Nkwanta North in the Oti Region have been experiencing a significant boost in agricultural development through the AA2E program, generously sponsored by Master. This comprehensive initiative is strategically focused on three core agricultural components: piggery farming, cassava processing, and cereal processing. The program’s overarching goals are to enhance food security, generate sustainable employment opportunities, and stimulate the growth of local agribusinesses throughout the district.

A key aspect of the program involves the cereal processing component, which utilizes locally sourced soybeans, rice, maize, and groundnuts. This element was the focus of recent activities, highlighting the practical application and community engagement at the heart of the AA2E initiative. The implementation of the program within the electoral area was a collaborative effort, spearheaded by the assembly member and supported by Madam Munira Mohammed, a dedicated volunteer from Crossroads International working with Pro-Link Kadjebi. Their partnership emphasized community engagement, capacity building through training and workshops, and the promotion of gender equality within the agricultural sector.
