Nkwanta South is witnessing a powerful initiative aimed at fostering unity and solidifying peace within the municipality.
Spearheaded by Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), in collaboration with Mr. Bright Owusu Nyasemhwe , the CEO of Beyond Group of Companies, a series of peace campaign games have been organized, bringing together diverse segments of the community. The centerpiece of this campaign is a football tournament featuring a blend of veteran players, representing the spirit of Nkwanta’s past, alongside current members of the military, police, and fire service, symbolizing the community’s commitment to security and order. An Nkwanta All-Star team, composed of local talent, rounds out the participants, creating a vibrant display of community spirit.
During an interview with XYZ News reporter Ibrahim Nsor, Hon. Joseph Awal Antwi passionately addressed the people of Nkwanta South. He emphasized the critical need for cooperation and collective effort in building a peaceful environment. The MCE highlighted that the core objective of the event is to cultivate peace and unity throughout the municipality, while also encouraging the youth to channel their energies into sports, particularly football, and to embrace peaceful dialogue and understanding. This message underscores the administration’s commitment to providing positive outlets for the youth and fostering a culture of harmony.
Mr. Bright Owusu Nyasemhwe, whose Beyond Group of Companies encompasses Beyond FM, B Fresh Mineral Water, and other ventures, echoed the sentiments of the MCE. He stressed the importance of recognizing the community’s need for peace and development, asserting that this understanding is the driving force behind the initiative. Mr. Nyasemhwe believes that bringing together civilians and security personnel, especially through the medium of sports, will significantly contribute to the peace and stability of Nkwanta South.
