The Ashanti Regional Office of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission through is over-reaching theme for the year *Responsible Regulation for strategic Positioning* engaged the Ashanti Regional Cocobod Pensioners Association in a Public Education.
The Regional Office touched on the following areas:
1. *Establishment of the Commission* The Regional Office touched on the establishment of the Commission and the Act 538 (1997) indicating the functions of the Commission and Nature of Complaints that can be lodge at the various Regional Offices of the Commission in the country
2. *Guidelines on Refund on Capital Contribution* The Pensioners were taken through the guidelines on Refund on Capital contributions and the processes to go through at the offices of the Utilities .
3. *Meter Acquisition Processes* The Commission also highlighted on the processes involved in the the acquisition of meters at the Offices of the Utilities and how the Commission can assist when faced with challenges.
The Regional Office of the Commission further distributed contact leaflets of the Regional Office to the pensioners in order for the to reach out to the Commission anytime they are faced with challenges in the usage of electricity and water
