The Founder and Leader of Divine Baptist Bible College in Aputuogya in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Apostle John Manu, has urged Christians to live lives that reflect the doctrines and teachings they receive in church.
Speaking at the 9th Graduation and Ordination Ceremony of the college, held under the theme “Humble Yourself As A Servant Of God,” Apostle John Manu emphasized that the essence of attending church and receiving the gospel is to apply it in daily life.
According to him, many people attend church regularly and actively participate in worship, yet fail to live holy and exemplary lives that portray the true message of the gospel.
“The purpose of receiving the word of God is to apply and duplicate it in our daily lives. Unfortunately, that is not what we are seeing today,” he stated.
He stressed that Christians must lead exemplary lives that reflect the gospel, rather than acting contrary to its teachings. He noted that obedience to God’s word is key not only to personal growth but also to national development.
Apostle John Manu further indicated that if Ghanaians, especially Christians, would obey the word of God as preached by men of God across the country, Ghana would experience significant transformation.
He, however, expressed optimism that it is not too late for change, urging believers to prioritize the gospel and uphold holiness in order to make Ghana a better place to live.
Touching on the graduation ceremony, Apostle John Manu explained that the theme “Humble Yourself As A Servant Of God” was carefully chosen to remind graduating students and ordained ministers of the need for humility in their service to God and humanity.
He said humility remains a foundational virtue for every servant of God, particularly as they step into ministry and leadership roles.
The ceremony brought together clergy, students, families, and well-wishers to celebrate the academic and spiritual achievements of the graduating class.
