The Municipal Chief Executive for Oforikrom in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Answel Sadat, has engaged Medical Bridges, a Houston, Texas-based non-profit organization, in discussions aimed at improving healthcare delivery within the municipality.

Medical Bridges is an international humanitarian organization known for providing medical support and hospital equipment to selected countries across the world, including Ghana.

The engagement, facilitated through the Honorary Consulate of Ghana in Houston led by Hon. Kwame Acheampong and Director Tadia Diallo, centered on securing medical supplies and equipment to support health facilities within the Oforikrom Municipality.

Speaking after the meeting, Hon. Answel Sadat described the discussions as productive and hopeful, noting that the partnership forms part of the municipality’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving access to quality medical services for residents.

A major highlight of the discussions was the possibility of acquiring a portable mobile clinic to serve deprived communities in the municipality, particularly residents of Oforikrom West, popularly known as Dagombaline.

According to the MCE, the proposed mobile clinic would help bridge the healthcare accessibility gap in underserved communities by bringing essential medical services closer to the people.

The initiative is expected to enhance healthcare delivery, improve emergency response, and support ongoing efforts to provide equitable healthcare services across the municipality.

Hon. Answel Sadat reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to pursuing strategic partnerships that will positively impact the lives of residents and contribute to the overall development of Oforikrom Municipality.
