The Assembly Member for the Abutunso Electoral Area in the Amansie Central District, Hon. Elvis Nyarko, popularly known as Dan Gote, has appealed to the government to establish a police post at Kente Junction to help combat robbery attacks and improve security within the area.

According to him, residents continue to face security challenges due to the absence of a nearby police facility, making the establishment of a police post a critical need for the communities within the electoral area.

Hon. Nyarko made the appeal while presenting a report on his two years in office during an interaction with community members at Abutunso.

He highlighted a number of development projects undertaken since assuming office, including the construction of a mechanised borehole and a community centre for the people of Abutunso.

He further disclosed that another mechanised borehole is currently under construction for the Kente community, while several other development initiatives are ongoing across the electoral area.

The Assembly Member said the projects formed part of his commitment to improving the living conditions of residents and fulfilling the mandate entrusted to him by the electorate.

Some community elders commended Hon. Nyarko for his dedication to the development of the area, describing his performance as evidence of responsive and people-centred leadership.

They noted that the community elected him to champion development rather than pursue personal interests and expressed appreciation for the projects executed under his tenure.
The elders encouraged him to sustain his efforts and continue advocating for the needs of the people.

The community leaders also appealed to the government and relevant stakeholders to address poor telecommunications network coverage in the area, which they said affects communication and economic activities.

They further called for the construction of a kindergarten block to support early childhood education and improve teaching and learning conditions for young children in the community.

The residents expressed optimism that the identified challenges would receive the necessary attention to accelerate development within the Abutunso Electoral Area.
