Mahmud Kabore, an aspirant for the Ashanti Regional Communications Officer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has successfully completed vetting and secured clearance to contest in the party’s forthcoming regional executive elections.

Mr. Kabore, who is seeking to take charge of the party’s regional communications machinery, has also secured Number One (1) on the ballot paper, a position he is hoping will strengthen his chances of winning the confidence of delegates.

The aspiring regional communications officer announced his successful vetting in a statement following the exercise, expressing gratitude to Almighty God for the milestone and describing it as an important step towards achieving his political ambition.

He has subsequently appealed to party delegates and supporters across the Ashanti Region to rally behind his candidature, insisting that his vision is to build a united, effective and grassroots-oriented communications department capable of advancing the interests of the NDC.
Mr. Kabore’s campaign is anchored on the principles of unity, effective communication, grassroots empowerment and electoral victory in the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the party’s communications machinery must be strengthened at all levels to ensure that its messages reach the grassroots, resonate with supporters and effectively communicate its policies and achievements to the Ghanaian electorate.
He believes that a coordinated communications front across the region’s 47 constituencies will be crucial to the party’s political mobilisation and its preparations for the next general elections.
In his post-vetting statement, Mr. Kabore called on party faithful to join forces with him to translate his vision into reality, emphasising that the contest should be about the collective interest of the party rather than the ambition of an individual.
“Now, I invite you all to join hands with me as we turn this vision into reality. Together, we can build a stronger, more united, and more effective communication front across all 47 constituencies of Ashanti Region,” he stated.
He added that the task ahead required collective commitment and cooperation among party members, particularly those responsible for communicating the NDC’s messages and mobilising support at the constituency and grassroots levels.
“This is bigger than one individual. It is about all of us. It is about our party and our victory,” Mr. Kabore stressed.
2028 VICTORY
The aspirant has placed the party’s electoral prospects in 2028 at the centre of his campaign, arguing that a strong communications department would be essential to achieving the NDC’s political objectives.
His vision, as outlined in his statement, focuses on promoting unity within the party, improving communication and empowering grassroots members across the Ashanti Region.
The proposed approach seeks to bring communicators from all 47 constituencies under a common direction, with the broader objective of ensuring consistency in the party’s messaging and strengthening its engagement with the electorate.
For Mr. Kabore, the regional communications office must serve as an effective link between the party’s leadership and its grassroots structures while helping to articulate the party’s position on national and regional issues.
He is therefore appealing to delegates to support his candidature and give him the mandate to lead the region’s communications department.

NUMBER ONE ON THE BALLOT.

With his successful vetting and confirmation of ballot number one, Mr. Kabore has intensified his appeal to delegates to vote for him in the regional executive elections.

He is campaigning under the slogan: “ONE TEAM. ONE VOICE. ONE MISSION.”
The slogan, according to the central message of his campaign, represents his commitment to unity, coordinated communication and a shared political objective.
Mr. Kabore is urging delegates to identify with the message and support his bid to build what he describes as a stronger, more united and effective communications front for the NDC in the Ashanti Region.
He maintains that collective action, effective communication and grassroots participation will be important in positioning the party for the political challenges ahead.
As the regional executive contest gathers momentum, the aspirant is counting on the support of delegates to secure the mandate to lead the party’s communications machinery in the region.

He has reiterated his call for party members to put aside individual differences, work together and focus on strengthening the NDC’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.

For Mr. Kabore, the ultimate objective is to unite the party’s communicators behind a common message and a shared mission of electoral victory.
