The leader and founder of Counsel of God church at Bronkong in the Afigya Kwabre district of Ashanti region, Rev. John Osei Ofori has linked the deepening woes of the country to lack of God fearing among the people, and disrespect of the law by some leaders and most of the law enforcement agents.

According to the man of God, this situation has incited most Ghanaian to also ignore rules and regulations governing the country and live by their own principles, as in imitation to the acts of the leaders.

Speaking in an interview with The New Trust News paper, Rev. Ofori disclosed that this situation has affected the smooth running of the country. He charged the law makers to be law abiding to serve as a good example for the ordinary citizens to follow.

“The Police, Parliamentarian, Ministers among other leaders of the country are not law abiding, how then will the people be encouraged to live to obey the laws of the country”, he exclaimed.

He added that, the reason why some countries have developed is that people in such countries respect their laws and live by it.

“People in elsewhere are law abiding unlike our country here and that has helped them to progress”, he added.

Meanwhile, Rev. Ofori has further charged Ghanaian youth to work hard in order to better their living conditions, rather than to resort to the use of dubious means to succeed.

“You can’t expect to live a luxurious life whiles you don’t want to work. You have to work with your hands to be self reliant and not dependent, Rev. John Ofori said.

He has asked the church and other institutions to do their possible best to support the able but deprived people in their exposure.
