The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Ahafo Ano South West District, Hon. Abubakar Sedik, has extended warm wishes to mothers across the district in celebration of this year’s Mother’s Day, describing them as the backbone of families and communities.
In a goodwill message shared to mark the occasion, the DCE praised mothers for their love, sacrifice, strength, and wisdom, noting that their contributions continue to shape society and secure a better future for generations.
According to Hon. Sedik, mothers remain the “heart of every home” whose dedication, prayers, and commitment provide the foundation for peaceful and progressive communities.
“Today, we honor and celebrate the incredible women whose love, sacrifice, strength, and wisdom shape our lives and build our communities,” the message stated.
He further acknowledged the critical role mothers play in nurturing children, supporting families, and promoting social cohesion, adding that their efforts deserve recognition not only on Mother’s Day but every day.
The DCE also prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon all mothers in the district and beyond, while encouraging families and communities to continue appreciating and supporting women for their immeasurable contributions to national development.
Hon. Abubakar Sedik concluded by reaffirming his admiration and gratitude to mothers, saying, “We appreciate you. We celebrate you. Today and always.”
