Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II, the Akokofe Krontihene, has shared his insights on true Christianity and kingship. In a statement, he emphasized the importance of living a life of service, humility, and love.

Speaking to Dominic Duut of Promise Broadcasting Limited after his enthronement and birthday thanksgiving service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tanoso, in the Catholic Archdiocese of Kumasi, Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II said that being a good Christian is not just about attending church on Sundays. “It’s about living a life of service, humility, and love,” he explained. “Good Christianity is about doing good to others, thinking positively about yourself and others, showing love to those in need, and being respectful and obedient.”

Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II also addressed the misconception that being a Christian and a leader, such as a chief, are mutually exclusive. “Kingship is from God, and if you are a Christian and a chief, it doesn’t mean you will not go to heaven,” he clarified. “In fact, if we worship God well and lead with integrity as chiefs, it will benefit our families, communities, nations, and the world at large. Heaven is a must, and once we live a Christ-like life, we will attain it.”

Nana Otiawere Frimpong Manso II concluded by emphasizing the importance of living a life that benefits others. “As Christians and leaders, our attitude and manners will determine whether our actions are good or evil,” he said. “Let us strive to live a life that favors and benefits the entire people and nation, leading to stronger and better development.”
