‎ The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, recently extended a helping hand to the farming community of Kwadjeikrom, distributing vital agricultural inputs as part of the second phase of her “thank you tour.” During her visit, the MP also made a candid plea to parents, urging them to encourage their children to come forward for job opportunities, highlighting a persistent challenge she faces in finding constituents to fill available positions.

‎The donation to Kwadjeikrom, a community heavily reliant on agriculture, included farming boots, fertilizers, and weedicides. These items are expected to significantly support local farmers in enhancing productivity, reducing labor, and ultimately improving their livelihoods. The initiative underscores Hon. Cudjoe’s commitment to the development of the agricultural sector within her constituency, recognizing its critical role in the local economy.

‎Addressing the gathered community members, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe expressed her gratitude for their support and participation in her political journey. However, her speech took a serious turn as she discussed the issue of employment. She emphasized that despite her efforts to secure job opportunities for her constituents, she often struggles to find individuals willing or ready to take them up.

‎”It pains me sometimes,” the MP stated, “when I announce job opportunities, and I struggle to get people from my own constituency to come forward and work. I urge you, parents, when these opportunities arise, please bring your children. Encourage them to apply and seize these chances that can change their lives and contribute to our community’s growth.”

‎The MP’s remarks shed light on a paradoxical situation where job opportunities exist, yet there’s a perceived reluctance or difficulty in matching them with the local workforce. She reiterated her dedication to creating avenues for economic empowerment and called for greater proactive engagement from her constituents.

‎Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe was accompanied on her visit by the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amenfi Central, Mr. Peter Amposah, along with constituency executives and a host of party faithful. Their presence signified a united front in support of the MP’s initiatives and the broader development agenda for the Amenfi Central constituency. The tour aims to reach various communities, expressing gratitude and addressing pressing local needs.
