In a special Ramadan goodwill message released to mark the beginning of the holy period of fasting, reflection, and spiritual rejuvenation, Mr. Acheamfour wished all Muslim faithful a blessed and fruitful Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of compassion, sacrifice, and communal harmony.

“Ramadan Kareem to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. May this sacred month bring peace, blessings, and abundant mercy to every home and community across the Ashanti Region and beyond,” the message read.

Ramadan, one of the most revered months in the Islamic calendar, is observed by Muslims through fasting, prayer, almsgiving, and acts of kindness. Mr. Acheamfour noted that the values promoted during Ramadan resonate strongly with the broader national aspiration for unity and peaceful coexistence.

According to him, the month serves as a reminder of the need for Ghanaians to embrace tolerance, humility, and shared responsibility, regardless of political, ethnic, or religious differences.

“This is a season that teaches us discipline, love for humanity, and the importance of supporting one another. These values are essential not only for spiritual growth but also for building a stronger and more united Ghana,” he stated.

“Our Muslim communities remain an integral part of our society. Their contributions to the growth of Ashanti Region, especially in trade, entrepreneurship, and community cohesion, deserve appreciation and continued partnership,” he added.

Mr. Acheamfour also appealed to all citizens to use the Ramadan period as an opportunity to strengthen bonds of friendship and promote peaceful living, particularly at a time when the nation requires collective effort to overcome economic and social challenges.

He urged political actors and community leaders to emulate the lessons of Ramadan by prioritizing dialogue, mutual respect, and service to the people.

“Let this Ramadan inspire us to put Ghana first, to support the vulnerable, and to work together for a better future. Our strength lies in our unity,” he stressed.

In closing, the Ashanti Regional Secretary hopeful offered prayers for Allah’s guidance and blessings upon all Muslims observing the fast, as well as the nation as a whole.
