The Chiefs and residents of Atwima Hwediem in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region have initiated an education endowment Fund called, ‘Hwediem Education and Career Assistance Foundation’ for school children in the area which is aimed at helping the needy and brilliant students in the community with their education.

The founder of the organisation, Engineer Isaac Tenkorang who works at the Local Government Decentralization and Rural Development Ministry said he and some colleagues who also come from Atwima Hwediem have decided to improve education standard of students at Hwediem.

The former Assembly Member of Trabuom/Hwediem Electoral Area who doubles as the Secretary of Ashanti Regional Association of Sachet Water, Honorable Kofi Antwi Agyei called on the beneficiaries to show appreciation for the gesture by studying hard so they can also become useful citizens capable of supporting generation after them.

He also appealed to the parents of the beneficiaries to ensure thier wards take their study seriously because no nation could be successful without education as it is important in the development process.
