The General Overseer of Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), Reverend Ransford Obeng has encouraged Ghanaians to be kind to themselves even as the year draws to a close.
Addressing the media ahead of the upcoming Christmas and New year at Church’s headquarters, Rev Obeng said it is more uplifting to share with others when one has opportunity.
According to him, most people eat heavy and plenty during Christmas but scarcely remember those who are least privileged.
He noted that the season of Christmas signifies the gift of God to mankind by allowing Christ Jesus to be born into the world.
“Christmas represents the birth of Christ into the world and it shows that God once gifted us with his most treasured asset and so he wants us to share same love with others whether we eat or drink”, Rev Obeng intimated.
LIFESTYLE:
The CCC leader asked Ghanaians to continue to live in peace with each other since that shows who they really are, a peace loving people.
He asked that differences in ideas or on national issues should be settled with proper communication and not in violence.
Rev Obeng asked especially political actors to show the way by conducting themselves in manners that would exude gentility amongst their supporters.
He also asked that the media play its role very well to shape discussions on national issues rather offering their platforms for the churning of hate speech and foul language.
“Let’s be instruments of peace and continue to use dialogue to whatever issues we may have so that we can guard jealously the atmosphere of tranquility we have in this nation” Rev Obeng urged.
VACCINATION:
Reverend Obeng encouraged persons who may not have taken the Covid-19 jab to do so.
He noted that since there were enough vaccines available in the country no one should exempt himself or herself from undertaking such an important health and safety step.
PRAYER:
Reverend Obeng asked God’s favour on Ghana and appealed that he prospers the work of the hands of citizens and all who reside in the country.
He asked for more wisdom and courage for the President to take good decisions that would help the poor especially as well as others in the country.
Rev Obeng asked for good health for the Overlord of Asanteman, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and asked that the regions of the country have the best of the ensuing year in terms of development.
“May God bless Ghana and all its leaders including people in authority so that they may come up with good ideas to make Ghana a prosperous nation going into 2022 and beyond”, Rev Obeng appealed to God.
