I have noticed with extreme worry, the incessant insults by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP at the person of H.E John Dramani Mahama.
The NPP Chairman has made it a habit to, at any given opportunity, take a swipe at The Leader and Flagbearer of the NDC without cause and has recently referred to him on a Television Station I understand he owns, as a Political armed robber.
Our country’s democracy is advancing, our children and youth are learning. Our success can only be guaranteed when we promote good morals and decency, not shower praises on adults we do not want our children to become. I have always wondered why a leader would choose unrefined commentaries, reckless utterances and unpolished insults at accomplished personalities as the only means of public acceptance and relevance.
I hope that, the many decent minds in the NPP from the Ashanti Region who feel embarrassed by his representation as their Chairman would muster courage and rise beyond fear from his crude tounge and counsel him appropriately.
To this end, I entreat all Ghanaians to treat the statements (previous, current and future) by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP with the utmost contempt it deserves and remember him in prayers. To those who feel his posture may be politically useful, but sincerely would not want their children to grow and become like him, please desist from praising and encouraging such persons in society who are not worthy to be role models to our youth.
May God bless us all and heal our land from COVID-19.
