The New Patriotic Party (NPP) requires robust grassroots-centered leadership to ensure a possible victory in the 2028 general elections, according to Hon. John Kwame Duodu, also known as Sir John.

As the First Vice Chairman of the NPP in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency, Sir John emphasized the need for leaders who are dedicated to the Party and deeply connected to the grassroots.

Sir John highlighted the significance of institutional memory, advocating for Party members to choose leaders with a comprehensive understanding of the Party’s history, internal dynamics, and operational framework. “It is essential that we choose leaders who have a profound grasp of the Party’s structures, including its strengths and weaknesses,” he stated.

As the Party approaches its internal elections, Sir John urged prospective candidates to conduct their campaigns with integrity, dignity, and respect for other contenders. He advocated for aspirants to focus on articulating clear visions and policies rather than engaging in negative campaigning or personal attacks.

Sir John emphasized the importance of internal cohesion, advocating for a culture of mutual respect, support, and accountability within the Party. “Collective action rooted in trust and ethical conduct is vital for the Party’s resurgence,” he stated.

Sir John stressed that the NPP’s success hinges on its ability to unite its support base around shared goals and values. He urged members to demonstrate unwavering commitment to the Party’s principles and ideals, transcending internal bickering and divisions to collaborate for the greater good of the Party.
