The Ashanti Regional Communication Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress ,Abass Nurudeen has compared corruption under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s government to Tv3’s music music reality show aired every Saturday evening.
He revealed that, corruption under President Akufo Addo is so big that it is incomparable to any government under the fourth republic.
According to him, everyone has problems, but Nana Addo’s problems are becoming too many by the day.
Adding that ,things are now getting out of kilter, and his chances of leaving a good legacy as president seem to hang in a delicate balance; and the current economic mess, the hardship Ghanaians are going through and the endemic corruption under his watch could tip the scales toward failure.
Abass Nurudeen speaking to Aduanaba Kofi Asante on Akoma FM this morning indicated that, most of the things Nana Akufo-Addo said while in opposition have turned out to be the opposite when he won power.
He said, corruption in Ghana under Nana Addo seems to be like a cat with nine lives – always landing on its feet – and always seems to land unexpectedly on the doorstep of a member of Nana’s government. Unfortunately, in some instances, it has decided to land on the doorstep of Nana himself.
Some infamous corruption allegations under his government according to Abass are the PDS scandal, the Bost contaminated fuel scandal, the galamsey fraud & 500 missing excavators scandal, the Agyapa scandal and many others.
But what shocked him and made him cringed is a list of corruption allegations against the Akufo-Addo-led government.
