President of Concerned Youth Of Asante(CYA) ,Dr.Nana Agyenim Boating is shocked about an unprofessional headlines and reportage by Ghanaian Observer and Supreme Newspapers about Asantehene when he welcomed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to his palace last Sunday as part of his four days working visit to the Ashanti Region .
The above mentioned newspapers published on its front pages last Monday that”Your Tenure Has Been Beneficial To Asanteman-Otumfuo to President Akufo Addo”.
The CYA stated on record that ,the Asantehene never made any of the statements attributed to him regarding Nana Addo and the NPPs performance in the Ashanti region.
As the video of the event clearly shows for all to see, Otumfuo only gave his blessings to Nana Addo and wished him a successful tour of the region.
Nana Agyenim Boating said in a Press statement sighted by broadcastergh.com that he sees the publications as an orchestrated attempt by hirelings of the NPP government who realizing the disappointment of the people in the Ashanti region for the unfulfilled promises and are trying to throw dust in the eyes of Ghanaians.
He further indicated that ,the Ghanaian Observer newspaper and others cannot think or rewrite speeches for the Ashanti King.
“We are by this release calling on those unprofessional media houses to retract the story and apologize immediately.
Again, if they fail to work on the said headlines we will raise a reg flag against them.”He added.
