Thanks to digitization, the examination body; the West African Examination Council (WAEC) was able to airlift examination questions to remote areas in the Ashanti Region and other parts of the country by air with ease.

Digitization, championed by Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia has chalked under remarkable success in the area of education, especially in the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Zipline aside from aiding healthcare delivering and lifting of medicines, was used to ferry examination materials to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates.

While the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is struggling to ferry examination materials to some examination centers across the country, the situation differs in some areas.

At Anwurofi in Sekyere Afram Plains in the Ashanti Region, WAEC defied the odds by transporting examination materials to BECE candidates on time with the help of digitization.

A lecturer with the Kumasi Technical University, Ishaq Kyei Brobby posted on his Facebook wall, ‘Zipline Drone delivery of BECE questions to Anwurofi in Sekyere Afram Plains. If you go on your knees, pray for Dr. Digital Mahamudu Bawumia.’.
