Dr. Amoakohene urges Mampong NDC members to remain calm and avoid actions based on unverified information

Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called on the Mampong branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain calm, emphasizing that President John Mahama has not nominated anyone for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) position.

Dr. Amoakohene urged party members not to act impulsively based on hearsay, stressing the importance of maintaining decorum, particularly given the party’s current political climate and the need to focus on winning future elections .

Speaking to party members after a a successful meeting with constituency executives at the party office today,the minister strongly condemned the violent acts perpetrated by some NDC members, who set items in the office ablaze, including a motorcycle.

He appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to consider forgiving the perpetrators, promoting a sense of calm and unity within the party.

He however appealed to assembly members not to hesitate in confirming the President’s nominee because of the act to facilitate smooth running of the municipality.
