A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ejisu Constituency of the Ashanti Region, George Kwame Huze, has officially declared his intention to seek re-election as the party’s Constituency Secretary, promising to consolidate the gains made over the years and strengthen the party’s structures ahead of future political contests.
Campaigning on the theme “Continuity for Victory,” Mr. Huze says his decision to seek another term is driven by his commitment to ensuring stability, unity and effective administration within the constituency.
According to him, the office of the Constituency Secretary plays a critical role in the day-to-day administration of the party, including maintaining accurate membership records, coordinating constituency activities, facilitating communication between the constituency and the regional leadership, and ensuring that decisions of the party are effectively implemented.
Mr. Huze indicated that over the years he has worked closely with constituency executives, branch officers and grassroots members to build a stronger and more united party in Ejisu.
He noted that the progress achieved by the constituency has been the result of teamwork, discipline and dedication from party faithful, adding that there is still more work to be done to position the NDC for greater electoral success in the constituency.
“Our journey is not yet complete. The experience we have gained and the structures we have built provide a solid foundation for future victories. I believe continuity will enable us to sustain the momentum and achieve even greater success,” he stated.
The aspiring secretary further pledged to deepen engagement with branch executives, improve internal communication, strengthen membership mobilisation and ensure transparency and accountability in the management of party affairs.
He also promised to prioritise political education and capacity-building programmes for party executives and activists to enhance organisational efficiency across the constituency.
Mr. Huze appealed to delegates and party members to renew their confidence in his leadership, assuring them of his unwavering commitment to serving the party with integrity, humility and dedication.
He stressed that the upcoming internal elections present an opportunity for the NDC in Ejisu to strengthen its internal democracy while maintaining the unity needed to confront future electoral challenges.
Political observers believe the race for constituency executive positions across the country is expected to shape the organisational strength of the NDC at the grassroots as the party prepares for future national elections.
