Ghanaian Delegation Concludes Successful Beijing Engagement, Reinforces Ties with China Under President Mahama’s Vision

A high-level delegation from Ghana, led by Ashanti Regional Minister Dr. Frank Amoakohene, concluded a productive exit meeting with Ghana’s Ambassador to China and the dedicated Consular team in Beijing on October 26, 2025.

The delegation included prominent Municipal Chief Executives (MCEs) from the Ashanti Region: Hon. Anwel Sadat (Oforikrom), Hon. Kwadaso MCE, and Hon. Assibey (Ejisu).


The meeting served as a critical platform to assess substantial advancements achieved during the delegation’s official engagements in China.

Discussions centered on outlining imperative follow-up actions aligned with the strategic developmental vision of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, underscoring Ghana’s commitment to national progress through international cooperation.

Dr. Amoakohene and the delegation conveyed profound gratitude to Ghana’s Ambassador to China and Hon. Kojo Bonsu for their unwavering support and dedication to fortifying Ghana-China bilateral relations.

“Their contributions have been instrumental throughout this mission,” the statement affirmed, reflecting the synergy fostering mutual growth.

Ghana’s Ambassador to China urged the delegation to maintain diligence in pursuing post-visit actions, emphasizing translation of outcomes into concrete socio-economic benefits for Ghanaians.

“We return home fully inspired by the leadership of President Mahama and optimistic about the opportunities ahead for the Ashanti Region and the entire nation,” Dr. Amoakohene remarked.

The delegation expressed resolve to advance collaboratively, encapsulating the spirit of unity and purpose.

The visit underscores Ghana’s proactive diplomatic and economic outreach under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, spotlighting strategic partnerships for national development (#JM2025).
