The Government has taken another significant step towards strengthening public service delivery in the Ahafo Region with the presentation of six brand-new pickup vehicles to key public institutions to enhance their operational efficiency.
The presentation ceremony took place at Sankore in the Ahafo Region, where the Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Charity Gardiner, joined the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, to officially hand over the vehicles to the beneficiary institutions.
According to Hon. Charity Gardiner, the intervention forms part of the government’s broader agenda to equip public institutions with the logistics required to effectively execute their mandates and improve service delivery to citizens.
She noted that the vehicles would significantly strengthen the operational capacity of the beneficiary institutions, enabling them to respond more efficiently to their responsibilities while extending quality services to communities across the Ahafo Region.
“The vehicles will strengthen institutional capacity, improve service delivery, and enhance the ability of beneficiary institutions to effectively carry out their responsibilities for the benefit of the people of Ahafo,” she stated.
The Regional Minister described the initiative as a clear demonstration of the commitment of the government under President John Dramani Mahama to providing the necessary resources for state institutions to function effectively and deliver tangible results.
She further emphasized that the government’s development agenda prioritizes efficient public institutions capable of supporting socio-economic growth, improving governance, and delivering essential services to citizens.
Hon. Gardiner expressed optimism that the logistical support would positively impact the operations of the beneficiary institutions and contribute to accelerated development across the region.
She reaffirmed the commitment of the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council to collaborating with all government agencies to ensure the effective utilization of the vehicles for their intended purposes.
The presentation of the pickups is expected to improve mobility, facilitate field operations, and enhance monitoring and supervision activities by the beneficiary institutions, ultimately contributing to improved public service delivery and development outcomes in the Ahafo Region.
The ceremony formed part of government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutions nationwide as it pursues its vision of building a stronger, more productive, and prosperous Ghana.
