The minister of Information, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, doubling as the Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi constituency in the Eastern Region together with Francisca Oteng, Eugene Boakye also members of Parliament for Kwabre East and Subin constituencies respectively and other NPP gurus in the Ashanti Region yesterday disrespected all technical universities in the country by snubbing the Technical University’s invitation to speak on various subjects at the Ghana National Union of Technical Students’ 27th Annual Presidential Delegates Congress held at the Kumasi Technical University Campus. These noble personalities had their pictures beautifully decorated on the banners erected by the students on the campuses of Kumasi Technical University just to create awareness of their presence but all failed to attend. Checks conducted by broadcastergh.com indicated that none of the aforementioned personalities belonging to the elephant party honoured the invitation of the organizers of the Ghana National Union of Technical Students yesterday. Most of the audience made it clear that, their failure to attend the meeting of the students is a sign of disrespect and arrogance. Reasons for the failure is unknown but scores who were present yesterday attributed their failure to the present of the former president, John Dramani Mahama at the event. Former President John Dramani Mahama was the special guest for the event and attended the meeting with scholars who have knowledge and ideas about education. Personalities who accompanied Former president Mahama included Prof. Nana Jane Opoku Agyeman, former education minister and vice Chancellor of University of Cape Coast, Okudzeto Ablakwa, former Deputy Minister of Education, Elder Ofosu Ampofo, National Chairman of NDC. Others were the National Youth Organizer of NDC, Opare Addo, Augustus Andrews, Ashanti regional chairman of the NDC, Francis Dodovi, communications team member, Abass Nurudeen,Regional communication director , Kwame Zu, regional secretary , Appiah Stadium, a die hard Supporter of John Dramani Mahama , among others.
