Kwakye Ackah is a liability to Amenfi Central NDC – Constituents

300
Residents of Amenfi Central in the Western Region are mad over  the deplorable nature of the road network in the constituency and blamed Hon Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah for the unfortunate situation amidst  disappointment.
Yaw Kwakye Ackah has been the Member of Parliament for the area for the past eight years.
Before then, he was the DCE for Amenfi Central, a political position he held for five years.
But notwithstanding his leadership role over the years, the constituency cannot boast of a single road in good shape.
A tour of the entire constituency with the media for the past five days  has revealed that none of the roads in the area is tarred and situation gets worse whenever it rains.
Most of the communities in the constituency have no access to good mobile network, CHPS compound and quality education.
The situation compelled NDC delegates in the area to vote against him during the parliamentary primaries which compared him to run as an independent candidate in the  election 2024.
Residents have registered their  displeasure upon hearing that Yaw Kwakye Ackah has betrayed the NDC as a political party which entrusted him with the constituency for  good thirteen years.
They have condemned his alleged dubious activities in the area coupled with insolence and mediocrity and threatened to beat him if he dared step foot on communities like Kwakuboah, Ayiem, Agona, Bonsie, Amuni, and  Kwamang, etc.
According to them, the most annoying part of the issue is that the only woman who is poised to transform the image of the constituency after Kwakye Ackah had failed them  is facing court injunction after a successful primary by this same disappointed political leader in the area.
They claimed they backed Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah but luck eluded him as he lost his bid to represent the NDC for the third time in Amenfi Central to Joana Gyan Cudjoe who’s currently the ONLY NDC candidate they know in Amenfi Central.
As  a universal characteristic of every contest, there will be winners and losers so even though they projected him with their strength and resources he lost as an MP.
In fact, Peter Kwakye is not the only incumbent MP who has lost elections. While those who lost elections have taken that in good faith and have decided to work for the interest of the NDC, Peter Kwakye Ackah who has been MP for two terms on the ticket of the NDC, would not accept the defeat and work for the party just as others accepted defeat and worked in his favor in the past.
Peter Kwakye Ackah has rather challenged the verdict of the people in court which has restricted Joana Gyan Cudjoe for the contest.
Research has it that, in 2004, he contested on the ticket of NPP in Amenfi Central but  lost .
In 2008, he left the NPP to contest as an Independent at Amenfi Central and he lost.
In 2016, he joined the NDC and the NDC gave him the opportunity to contest as an MP and he won.
In 2020, he had another term from the NDC as their parliamentary candidate and again won the general election.
This means that, he could not win when he was with the NPP, he equally could not win when he was an independent candidate.
The only time he won to be an MP was when he joined the NDC in 2016 but instead of being grateful, he has chosen to be ungrateful and on a path to destroy the chances of the NDC to retain the Amenfi Central seat.
This development has incensed residents in the area to threaten to skin him alive if he does not refrain from his dubious agenda with the electoral Commission against the NDC parliamentary candidate.
Residents stated unequivocally that there is no way they will allow the Electoral Commission to supervise the 2024 elections in  the constituency if the name and image of Joana Gyan Cudjoe do not appear on the ballot.
