The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Adentan Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Ella Esinam Nongo, has been honoured with the prestigious “Infrastructure Development Catalyst Honor” in recognition of her outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing infrastructure development within the municipality.
The accolade, conferred by the World Diplomatic Federation, highlights her growing reputation as a visionary and results-driven public servant whose administration has prioritized tangible improvements in the living conditions of residents.

The award was presented by the Executive Chancellor of the Federation, Her Meritorious Hazel Gayle Konadu from Canada, alongside executive members of the organization across Ghana and Africa.
The presentation formed part of the Federation’s broader mandate to recognize excellence in governance, leadership, and sustainable development across the globe.
Since her confirmation in May 2025, following overwhelming endorsement by assembly members, Hon. Nongo has pursued an ambitious transformation agenda aimed at positioning Adentan as a model municipality defined by efficiency, safety, and modern urban systems.

Central to her recognition is her role as a true “catalyst” for development—an administrator who not only supervises projects but actively drives, accelerates, and sustains impactful change.
Under her leadership, Adentan has witnessed renewed focus on critical infrastructure, including the rehabilitation and upgrading of key road networks, expansion of street lighting systems, and significant improvements in drainage infrastructure to address perennial flooding challenges.
These interventions have yielded measurable results. Improved road networks have enhanced mobility and reduced transportation difficulties, while expanded street lighting has strengthened security across communities.
Equally notable are her efforts to address drainage concerns, a longstanding issue in the municipality, through strategic planning and enforcement of building regulations to prevent development on waterways.
The recognition also underscores Hon. Nongo’s collaborative leadership style. Through strategic partnerships with traditional authorities, community leaders, and key state institutions such as the Ghana Highway Authority, her administration has ensured that development projects are not only efficiently executed but also widely supported and sustainable.
Observers note that the honour comes at a critical time when public trust in local governance is increasingly tied to visible development outcomes. By prioritizing infrastructure, Hon. Nongo has strengthened confidence among residents, property owners, and investors, encouraging civic responsibility, including the timely payment of property rates to support further development initiatives.
Beyond immediate achievements, her administration has embraced a forward-looking governance philosophy that prioritizes sustainable, long-term solutions over temporary measures. From advocating for comprehensive drainage construction to enforcing urban planning regulations, her leadership is redefining development standards within the municipality.
