Chief Executive Officer for Medimafo Herbal Center ,Dr Adu Gyamfi, widely known as Dr Time Daso has donated assorted food items and toiletries worth thousands of Ghana cedis to prison Inmates in Kumasi Central Prisons in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, the gesture was to let inmates feel equally important and to be recognized as good members in the society.
He used the opportunity to call on the general public to visit inmates ones a while,support them and let them also know that they have not been neglected by the large society
He then urged the youth to be law abiding to prevent them from being jailed.
Items donated were estimated at a cost of GHC 15,000 .
It included,bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil and toiletries.
For her part,the Ashanti Regional Prison Service Chaplain ,Sup. Stellar Ama Kakyo called on the general public to come and support inmates of Kumasi central prison both cash and in kind.
She expressed much worry about family neglect on the part of inmates, which according to her is quite unfortunate situation.
She then urged the youth to desist from indulging themselves in illegal activities which she said will land them into trouble.
She made it clear that individual is a potential prisoner so the society should stop stigmatizing inmates because they are equally human beings like those in the large societies.
