MTN Ghana Empowers Communities through 2025 Y’ello Care

MTN Ghana has launched its 2025 Y’ello Care program, a flagship employee volunteerism campaign aimed at empowering communities through digital inclusion and healthcare initiatives. The program, themed “Connecting at the Roots,” will run from June 1 to June 21, 2025.

Key Initiatives:

– mCare Program: A digital health platform providing 24/7 accessible healthcare solutions to users in rural areas, with MTN Ghana covering medical bills for beneficiaries for the first 2-3 months of subscription.
– Digital Literacy Education: Mobile ICT training, mobile phone repairs training, and social media training for artisans will be implemented in various regions.
– Smart Farming: A 5,000-acre farm will be established in the Northern Region, with MTN staff assisting beneficiary farmers, particularly women.

Beneficiary Regions:

– Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Savannah, North East, Upper West, and Upper East Regions: These regions will benefit from the mCare program and other IT-related activities.
– Ashanti Region: Mobile phone repairs training, ICT training through mobile vans, and provision of uniforms for needy pupils.
– Northern Region: Smart Farming initiative and mCare registration.

Empowering Communities:

Through the 2025 Y’ello Care, MTN Ghana aims to touch a large number of schools in beneficiary regions, promoting digital inclusion and empowerment. The program aligns with the company’s commitment to social impact and sustainability .
