The Chief of Toase, Nana Yim Awere Ababio, led by Bantamahene and Krontihene, has officially presented the Queen Mother of Toase, Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu, to His Royal Highness, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom, on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu was enstooled on September 30, 2024, by Nana Yim Awere Ababio, following the demise of her predecessor, Nana Adwoa Kyeiwaa Adepa III, in 2023.

The presentation ceremony took place at the Asanteman Council, presided over by Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. As custom demands, the introduction was necessary to publicly outdoor the Queen Mother to Asanteman.

In his speech, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II admonished Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu to view her new role as a service to God and the Toase Traditional Council. He urged her to work closely with the chiefs and people of the community to foster peace, unity, and development in the area.

His Royal Highness reminded Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu that she remains a role model for women and a household name for mothers. He emphasized the importance of her succeeding in her new role.

“I dedicate my prayers and blessings to you in your new position,” Otumfuo Osei Tutu II prayed.

Other dignitaries, including Nananom, congratulated Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu and urged her to build confidence in her new role.

They advised her to use her leadership qualities and expertise to mentor others and transform the community.

Nana Adwoa Kyeiwaa Adepa III, the predecessor of Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu, passed away on May 8, 2023, after a 40-year reign.
