Energy Minister, Dr.Mathew Opoku Prempeh has thrown shade against the activities of some journalists in the Ashanti Region says they have been contracted to speak lies against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
According to him, their routine activities tell it all that they are not ready to propagate the good work of the President because of money.
The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency speaking at Suame during a sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of the Suame interchange project said, some journalists in the Ashanti Region always sit on Radio and chastise the President for not constructing the Suame interchange thinking it is the only problem in the Ashanti Region.
Dr.Mathew Opoku Prempeh announced that,alot of developmental projects have been fetched in the Ashanti Region, being it roads, hospitals, schools and among others so those bribed journalists should spare the President for him to have a sound mind and work.
Napo ,was of the view that, journalists of the day are to be more professional in executing their work but some activities of some journalists defer from the core ethics of journalism which he said they ought to be careful.
He said, some journalists sit on radio and say the Suame interchange project was a scam but here we are today witnessing the sod cutting for it commencement.
He made it clear that,the project may delay but would be completed before Nana Addo leaves office but those journalists will chastise the President when it delays because they have been bribed.
