Former Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Kojo Bonsu has picked his nomination forms to contest the flagbearer race of the National Democratic Congress.

Reverend Lilian Osei picked up the forms on behalf of the former Kumasi mayor at the NDC headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, February 22.

Picking the nomination forms, Rev Osei said Mr. Bonsu has promised to do a good job if given the mandate.

Bismark Tetteh, one of the three representing Mr. Bonsu, added that his boss is a man of action and not a populist.

“He is someone who likes to work rather than having the crowd making all the noise around him. He prefers that things will be done. He is an action man.”

So far, three-time presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama and one Ernest Kwaku Kobeah have picked forms.

Ernest Kwaku Kobeah expressed confidence in a victory.

Asked what victory margin he is expecting, he told the media that ”I don’t have a comment on that…”

“I am here to stand and build the new Ghana, I am not here for the future, I am here for now,” he further responded to a question of whether he is only making his presence in the NDC felt by picking up the forms.

Meanwhile, former Finance Minister, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor is expected to pick his nominations forms on Thursday, February 23 to contest in the flagbearer elections of the NDC.

This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Internal Elections Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Kakra Essamuah.
