NDC Youth Organiser Aspirant Praises Women on Int’l Women’s Day

A National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organiser aspirant for Asokwa Constituency, Amo Mensah Mark, has commended women for their pivotal role in national development, including leading institutions and driving economic activities.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the incumbent Branch Secretary, who is eyeing the youth front, celebrated the strength and contributions of women in Ghanaian society, describing their role as pivotal and essential.

Dr. Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General, once said, “There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women. When women are educated, families are well fed; when women are empowered, communities are stronger.”

In a statement, Amo Mensah highlighted the pivotal role women play in national development, from leading institutions to driving economic activities.

“Today, as the world commemorates International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women to our families, communities, and our dear nation,” the statement read.

“From nurturing families and building strong communities to leading institutions and driving economic activities in our markets and workplaces, their dedication and hard work remain a cornerstone of national progress,” it added.

He reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to gender equality, women’s empowerment, and creating opportunities for women and girls to realize their full potential.

The NDC official saluted hardworking women across the constituency and the country, praising their resilience, sacrifices, and determination.

He called for collective efforts to build a society where every woman and girl is empowered, respected, and given the opportunity to thrive.
