NDC’s Western North Regional Treasurer is Minister-designate for the region

The President, John Dramani Mahama, has sought Parliament’s approval of Mr. Wilbert Petty Brentum as the Western North Regional Minister.

The region minister was among the six remaining regions announced on Thursday, January 16,2025.

Mr. Wilbert Brentum is a native of Aowin Municipality and seasoned politician, chartered accountant, and local government professional with extensive experience in regulatory roles in the mining industry.

Currently serving as the Western North Regional Treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He is to replace the outgoing Regional Minister Joojo Rocky Obeng, who also hails from Aowin.

Wilbert Petty Brentum’s diverse background and experience make him an ideal candidate for the position.

Notably, Wilbert Petty Brentum has also served as an assembly member in the Juaboso Electoral Area of the Juaboso District, demonstrating his commitment to public service.

His nomination is expected to bring new leadership and vision to the Western North Region.

Wilbert Petty Brentum’s appointment is part of a broader reshuffle, with several other ministerial nominations announced recently.

As the region looks to the future, Wilbert Petty Brentum’s experience and expertise will be invaluable in driving growth and development.
