Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo resigned right after his exit from the World Cup following his defeat to Uruguay in the last group H matches Friday, December 2, 2022.

Before and after his resignation, some Ghanaians have been calling on the Ghana Football Association to replace him with his Technical Director, Chris Hughton.

Some Ghanaians trooped to social media and started preaching for his appointment.

For Nana Kwame, choosing Otto Addo ahead of Chris in the first place was even a mistake.

“This guy was available and they made Otto Addo the head coach,” he said.

Dennis Ivan Opoku is hopeful of a better return for Otto Addo but believes the team should be handed over to Mr. Hughton for now.

Let’s just thank Otto Addo and appoint Chris Hughton so we move to the next step. He will learn more and return better,” he tweeted.

Asallsince93 says “I really hope Chris Hughton will takeover the Ghana Head Coach position after Otto Addo. He already knows the team, he has more coaching experience than Addo and has had impact on all these new players opting to join Black Stars. That would just make sense.”

Meanwhile, Kweku Edilsois asking people to chose between Chris Hughton and Hervé Renard.
